Dear teen girl, a boy might make your heart flutter.

He might sweep you off your feet.

It might feel like the world revolves around him.

Dear teen girl, it might feel like your emotions for him is so strong.

It feels like your emotions are getting more solid with every conversation.

Your feelings are growing deeper.

Dear teen girl, it can feel like a lot.

You wish to stop thinking about him,

But you end up thinking about him more.

Dear teen girl, can I tell you a story?

A story that is popular but needs to be told over again.

There was a certain teenager.

A boy to be specific.

This boy wasn't like others of his age, he was unique.

I am sure there were girls of his age 

He could have admired them.

But that wasn't his concern at the time.

He would wander off and spend time alone with God, consecrating himself.

He was human as well.

But he had a greater priority.

He recognised he was on this earth for a purpose.

He had human emotions too.

But his gaze was fixed on God that every other thing not meant to be, he didn't give time to it. Since his gaze was on God,the other things lost importance. He wasn't overcome by temptation.

I am sure you realise who this teenage boy is.

Dear teen girl, this stage we are in is quite funny.

Feelings can come like the wind.

But remember the boy in the story.

If he could do it, you can too.

He says we aren't tempted beyond our strengths.

Meaning we can handle and overcome such temptations.

This boy in the story grew up to be a fine young man.

Remember what he was doing as a teenager.

It was all part of his assignment on earth.

He came to give a gift to those born and unborn.

Knowing you and I weren't born at the time.

You may feel left out on valentine's day because you feel you need to be gifted since everyone talks about love on this special day.

But remember the boy who grew up to become a young man.

He was on a mission.

He was going to give a gift, not just any gift, one that would speak for thousands of generations to come, a gift even the ones not born could have.

I tell you that gift is greater than the gift anyone could give you in this life.

The young man's love for you supercedes the love of any boy.

Dear teen girl, this young man loved you first.

The love he showed you was personal.

He didn't want you going after any guy just yet.

He secured you in his love.

He already showed you what love is.

He says wait until he says it's time.

Trust me, it isn't time for that.

The young man's love sweeps you off your feet and puts you in his globe of love.

Dear teen girl, this young man took your place on the cross, died your death, rose up from the dead and secured eternal life for you and I. He gifted you with salvation and eternal life. All you need to do is place your faith in him. He wants you to believe in what he did on the cross.

What love is greater?

Tell me.

Dear teen girl, you must be mesmerized by this young man's bravery.

I am sure you would love to meet him

And pour out endless gratitude to him.

Guess what?

The Spirit of this man resides in your heart

And no,

Don't be scared.

It's not a horror film, where a ghost takes over your body.

It's the Spirit of the most high God in you.

The young man sent on a mission was Jesus, the son of God.

Dear teen girl, those feelings might feel so overwhelming.

But remember the one who showed you what love is..

Because he showed you what love is,

He knows love.

He is love.

Dear teen girl, he knows everything concerning love.

He says it's not time for this.

He says to wait,

Love up on him(God)

Focus on what he would have you do instead.

Wouldn't you rather obey the one who was bold enough and so gracious to be crucified for your sake?

If not for him, I honestly don't know where we would be.

If he says wait, meaning he knows what's gonna happen.

Remember the gift he gave you.

Remember he sacrificed himself for you.

So, if he's says wait.

He isn't punishing you.

He loved you first, remember?

He wants you on the right path.

What you may long for now is eventually going to come.

Why not wait?

Why not listen to him?

When it eventually comes, it's going to be better.

Guess why?

Because you will do it at the time of the one who loved you first,

The one who showed you what love is.

And who works things out for your good.
